n1/ In the methodological note, the indicator was called the Investment Confidence Index according to economic analysts.
n2/ As of the fourth quarter of 2014, the information for the CIEC is obtained through the monthly Survey of inflation and exchange rate expectations, previously carried out through the Survey of economic perspectives, both conducted by the BCCR.
n3/ As of June 1, 2022, the ICAE series includes a change in the treatment of non-response, which was applied to the entire series. A "neutral" value was assigned to the non-response, under the assumption that there is a greater probability that those who do not respond have an "intermediate" position, thus counteracting possible biases in the indicator due to changes in the proportions the degree of optimism or pessimism of the respondents.
